Cogeneration & Microturbines

Combined heat and power with Capstone microturbines and packaged CHP units: power and useful heat from natural gas or field gas, with full automation.

Cogeneration (combined heat and power) makes electricity on site and puts the exhaust heat to work for space heating, process heat, hot water or greenhouse CO2 and heating, turning far more of the fuel into useful energy than buying power and burning gas separately.

Capstone microturbines: low-emission, low-maintenance units from 30 kW up, with no oil, coolant or reciprocating parts to service. They run on natural gas or field gas and can be combined into multi-unit plants.

Complete systems: heat recovery, fuel gas conditioning, electrical tie-in and paralleling with the utility, and automation and remote monitoring, designed, packaged and commissioned by our team.

Project references: a Capstone C30 for a greenhouse, complete with automation systems; a Capstone C30 for a factory in Calgary; a 25 kW unit for Bow Valley Credit Union; a 100 kW system on order; and 200 kW units for gas plants.
